Special sailings around the Port of Mahon (Minorca) with Yellow Catamarans

What are they?
These are special boat-trips around the Port of Mahon and its surroundings, designed according to the customers' wishes. They are one-off sailings for groups and the route and duration are adapted according to the demands of each group.
When do they
take place?
They can take place regularly (one departure every week, every month, etc.) or for a specific purpose (to celebrate an event, a patron saint's fiesta, to see the sunset or fireworks). It all depends on the requeriments of each group.
How can I book?
For each event, a quotation and availability must be requested via e-mail sufficiently in advance. Once the customer has accepted the quotation, Yellow Catamarans will reserve the date and the customer will pay an advance on the agreed price.
Sunset
The tranquility of the Port of Mahon, its calm waters, the sea-breeze and the colours of the last rays of the sun are the ideal backdrops for sailing in a boat to the most pleasant corners of this enclave, stopping off in small coves and in front of emblematic houses. This boat-trip is ideal to do prior to going out for dinner in one of the restaurants of this beautiful Minorcan port.
Gastronomic
This consists of trying local gastronomy-wine, cheese, "cocas", cold meats, sweets, liqueurs, the typical "pomada", together with the best views of the most beautiful corners of the Port of Mahon (Minorca). We organize gastronomic presentations and private parties with snacks.
Cultural
One can get know the history of the Port of Mahon (Minorca), the British heritage, the history of each islet and each fort. One can also combine a boat-trip with a visit to places such as the "Fortaleza de La Mola" or the "Isla del Rey", trips of great historical interest for locals as well as visitors to Minorca.
Festivals
Of all the local fiestas in Minorca, that of the "Virgen del Carmen" uses boats instead of horses. These boats, festooned with bright and colorful flags, flowers and lights, accompany the patron saint of sailors around the Port of Mahon in one of the most colourful maritime processions in Minorca.
Watching the fireworks of Mahon or Es Castell from a boat is another option in participating in the fiestas of the east of the island, away from the crowds.
