Boat trip around the Port of Mahon (Minorca)

What are they?

These are boat-trips with routes within the Port of Mahon (Minorca) and the surrounding areas combined with visits to sites of historical heritage ("Isla del Rey", "Fortaleza de La Mola", the town of Es Castell), as well as trips along the east coast with stops in front of the "Isla del Aire", the "Isla d'en Colom", etc. The routes and visits are adapted to the needs of each group.

When do take place?

They can take place regularly (one departure per week, for example) or by arrangement (for associations, schools and other groups). The programme depends on the requeriments of each group.

How do I book?

For each kind of boat-trip from the Port of Mahon, the customer must ask for (by e-mail) a quotation and availability sufficiently in advance. Once the customer has accepted the quotation from Yellow Catamarans, the company reserves the date and the customer pays an advance on the price agreed. The balance is payable by transfer on the same week of the boat-trip on the waters of the Port of Mahon (Minorca).

Boat-trips outside the port

These are boat-trips that can only take place during months of good weather and calm seas. Almost 6 kilometers of the Port of Mahon (Minorca) are travelled and then the boat goes into the open sea in order to explore the seabeds, to get to see the cliffs of the south-east and north-east coasts, to see the coastal towns and to see the caves, curious rock formations, seabirds and to enjoy the sea-breeze and the sun. We can drop anchor for a refreshing swim in front of the "Illa del Aire" or "Illa de'n Colom".

Historical boat-trips

These are boat-trips around the Port of Mahon (Minorca) with historical commentaries, combined with visits to one or various points of interest, such as the "Isla del Rey", the "Fortaleza de La Mola" and the thown of British origin, Es Castell, with its military museum.

Scientific boat-trips

Our boats (Yellow Catamaran 1 and Yellow Catamaran 2) can be chartered to scientists (biologists, geologists, etc.) in order to observe and study seabeds, seabirds, geological formations and many other things from a boat.

Educational boat-trips

Getting to know the extensive catalogue of the historical heritage of the Port of Mahon (Minorca) in a direct and recreational way is the main aim of these boat-trips. Every Spring a large number of educational centres and infant schools take advantage of the good weather to take their pupils out for a trip around the Port of Mahon and to let the children get to know the natural beauty and the historical monuments of this enclave.
